Almost 30 Years of Delivering Love

We're not asking you to take our word for how long we've been doing this. Forex Cargo's history is a matter of record, not a marketing claim.

  • Founded 1997

Started as a hands-on family operation and operating continuously since 1997.

  • Same Family, Nearly 30 Years

Still run by the family that started it, not private equity or a franchise chain.

  • Grown Through Referrals

Our national network largely grew because existing customers vouched for us to others.

  • Established Philippines Network

Long-standing operational relationships supporting the Philippines side of the balikbayan-box journey.

Our Story Began Long Before the First Box

Entrepreneurship has been part of our family's story for generations. The Campos family's roots trace back to Spain, by way of the Philippines, where earlier generations built businesses and lives long before Forex Cargo existed. That spirit of enterprise, hard work and following through on an idea was passed from one generation to the next.

Our family migrated to Australia in 1988 and began another chapter. In 1997, Forex Cargo was established, started by Enrique Sr and Ines Campos from the ground up with Enrique Jr as the first of the children to jump on board.

Built From the Ground Up

There was no large team behind Forex Cargo in those early years. It was a family doing whatever needed to be done: answering phones, taking bookings, collecting boxes, preparing paperwork, coordinating containers and loading late into the night.

Enrique was on the road collecting boxes and working in the warehouse. His mother, Ines, was often the first voice customers heard, looking after bookings, administration, banking, payroll and container coordination.

As the business grew, other family members stepped in wherever they were needed. Mari joined in 1999. In 2001, following Ines's illness and passing, Enrique Sr joined Forex full-time, and Philip became the first person outside the family to join the business, going on to spend more than two decades working alongside them.

  1. 1988

    A family migrates to Australia

Carrying an entrepreneurial spirit passed down through generations in the Philippines, our family arrived in Australia to build a new life, and eventually, a new business.

  2. 1997

    Forex Cargo is founded

Started from the ground up with a van, a warehouse, and a promise to look after every customer's box the way we'd want our own family's parcels treated.

  3. 2009

A Philippines customer service team begins

As Forex Cargo grew, we opened a Philippines-based customer service team, making sure help stayed close by, on either end of the journey, not just in Australia.

  4. 2016

Forex World becomes its own identity

Cargo and money had grown into two distinct services, so we gave each its own name, Forex Cargo and Forex World, while remaining part of the same family.

  5. Today

    An Australia-wide network

Forex Cargo now reaches every major Australian city through a network built on trust and referrals, and remains exactly what we started as: family owned and operated.

A Family Business Serving Families

Nearly three decades later, Forex Cargo remains family owned and operated. For us, that matters. It means the name on the business is personal. Our reputation is personal. And the relationships we've built with customers, agents, employees and communities over the years are personal too.

Many of our customers have been with Forex Cargo for years. Some families have trusted us across generations. We never want to lose sight of what allowed that trust to develop in the first place.

Work hard. Keep your word. Look after people. And never forget the trust a customer places in you.

What Decades of Experience Actually Buys You

A business that's been doing one thing since 1997 has already made, and fixed, most of the mistakes a newer operator hasn't encountered yet.

  • Experience helps our team anticipate common issues and respond when something needs attention
  • A network of agents who know the Philippines side as well as we know Australia
  • Systems built specifically for balikbayan boxes, not adapted from generic freight
  • A team who has seen almost every situation a box can run into
Australia to the Philippines
